Reorienting to the Sacred

Im often aware of the heart-wounds that I carry as a woman which have their roots in the collective psyche of feminine.

Its been a long and winding path for me to realise and remember that the holy source of LOVE lives within me, to remember that my ‘work’ here is to align my mind-heart to the energy of the divine. I feel like for many of us women there is a continuing process of untangling from the narrative of our dominant culture that has disempowered women, that causes us to numb ourselves, causes us to choose things that lead us away from rather towards spirit and that often leads us to seek love and validation outside of ourselves.

We have a core need of (internal) feeling and connection. And unfortunately there are many ways we have been subtly conditioned to fulfil our needs in ways that over-ride our sacred sensitivity as women.

The path of the sacred is about coming home to our true essence. Joy and pleasure are powerful healers. They help us to be present in the alive experience of this moment.
We can ask:
“How can I be relaxed with my whole being with all of my senses and in full presence, so that I can be in relationship with whatever is here and now, even if it hurts”.
”How can I be rooted in myself as life moves through me, grounded so that I can express my boundaries and truth in authentic ways”.

Intimate partnership can offer us a profound opportunity (as women and men) to heal from any wounding that we have suffered early in life, or from being in relationship. It invites us build safety, to rewire pathways of connection and communication. When we take off the armour , we can soften into a sense of trust and we can open ourselves to receive the nourishment of love.

My journey has been a process of re-establishing trust in myself -  honouring the earth of my own body. It has been a process of learning to protect myself energetically, learning to forgive myself to what I did not know and to embody compassionate wisdom in all aspects of my life. It has been a journey to discover the beauty of union, and how I can be a channel for the sacredness of love to be expressed in relationship. I have learnt the immense power of softening into my true nature, and communicating this as a mother, lover and woman.

All the pieces of my journey have inspired me to work with women and couples in these deeper inquiries into love, relationships and the sacred feminine. I spent many years immersed in yoga and somatic studies. Then I chose to train in relationship therapy and communication practices like authentic relating. Then life offered my some strong lessons to get humble and attentive. Now…. I’m deepening my skills through a Masters of Integrative Counselling through which I am coming to appreciate just how much there is to learn on this path of supporting others.

I would love to hear from you if you feel inspired to work with me.
